Even after using drag & drop or “import new files” button, you can see “Loading” but you could not see files in the list of imported clips on the left? Well, in such situation, you might think that the files are corrupt for some reason. Well, if you are facing these issues, then make use of GOPRO APP FOR DESKTOP as a NEW source for importing GoPro footage.

The footages transferred to a Mac using the Photos application are unable to be imported into GoPro Studio. Unlike iPhoto, this new Photo application converts the GoPro MP4 into .m4v file while exporting outside the program. This photos application was introduced on Mac OS 10.10 and are different from the previous photos application, iPhoto. In iPhoto, you can drag from the iPhoto application to the Desktop so that it will generate a copy of an MP4 file, whereas this Photos application will not have the same feature. GoPro Studio will not be able to import the grayed out .m4v files as it is an incompatible file.

  • Initially Open Photos
  • Then select the video files to export
  • File > Export > Export Unmodified Original
  • Next, click Export
